“I Will Definitely Retire Within The Next Year”, After John Cena, Another Legend to Retire Soon

John Cena is all set to retire from WWE on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night Main Event. This will mark the end of an era, but he will not be the only legend retiring soon. His Crown Jewel opponent will follow in his footsteps and will retire in 2026. He is the Phenomenal AJ Styles. Goldberg and Trish Stratus have already announced earlier this year.

AJ Styles is a two-time WWE champion, a three-time United States Champion, a one-time Intercontinental Champion, and a one-time Raw Tag Team Champion. He was already a superstar in the international circuit even before he joined WWE. He shocked his fans by stating he would retire next year. While promoting an upcoming Japan tour of WWE, he disclosed the news in an interview with Tokyo Sports.

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, he stated, “I will probably appear at WrestleMania (April next year in Las Vegas, USA), but it’s not confirmed yet. The details are still undecided, but I will definitely retire within the next year.” This means WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, might be his last appearance in WWE.

AJ Styles to Face John Cena at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia

John Cena asked his fans about his potential opponent at Crown Jewel, and on fans’ demand, WWE decided that his next opponent would be AJ Styles. AJ Styles is known to promote young talent. He lost to Logan Paul and Dominic Mysterio numerous times this year due to outside interventions.

AJ Styles is set to partner with Dragon Lee to take on El Grande Americano first, before heading to Perth, Australia, for Crown Jewel, where he will compete against John Cena. John Cena and AJ Styles have faced off in WWE on four occasions, and each of them has emerged victorious in two matches.
