The 2025-26 Bundesliga season kicks off on Friday night with a blockbuster clash as defending champions Bayern Munich host RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena. Vincent Kompany’s side reclaimed the title last term in dominant fashion, finishing 13 points clear of Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern have already won the German Super Cup this season after a 2-1 win over Stuttgart.

For Leipzig, the new campaign represents a fresh start. Last season’s seventh-place finish marked their worst Bundesliga performance in nearly a decade and denied them European football for the first time in nine years.
