Anna Kalinskaya’s mother is Elena Kalinskaya. She originally belongs to Dnipro, Ukraine and is also a former badminton player. She currently coaches junior players. Anna used to spend her summers in Ukraine with Elena and her grandmother. Around the age of five, she saw a cousin of hers playing tennis and so got hooked, joining local tennis academies. By 14, she had relocated to the United States to chase the sport full-time, a decision now paying off on the WTA stage.
