Atletico Madrid launch opening offer for Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori

Atletico Madrid have tabled an opening bid worth €25 million plus bonuses for Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori, as Diego Simeone looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 La Liga season.

According to reports from Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Atletico submitted their first formal offer on Friday, August 8, with negotiations between the two clubs now underway. Sources suggest that the next 24 hours could be decisive, with both parties eager to find a resolution before the final stretch of the transfer window.

Breakthrough in negotiations possible between Raspadori and Atleti

Di Marzio has indicated that a breakthrough in talks could be imminent, with today expected to be a crucial stage in the discussions. While the initial offer stands at €25 million plus performance-related add-ons, it remains to be seen whether Napoli will accept or hold out for a higher fee.

The 25-year-old Italian international has been a long-term target for Atletico, who have been monitoring his situation in Naples for several months. With the player falling down the pecking order under new head coach Antonio Conte, the Spanish side sensed an opportunity to strike.

Raspadori featured in 26 Serie A matches for Napoli last season, registering six goals and one assist in 1,097 minutes of league action. Despite being part of the squad that clinched the Scudetto, he often played a secondary role, starting only a handful of games.
