‘Glad You’re Enjoying Retirement’ – Tom Aspinall Hits Back at Jon Jones in the Ongoing Social Media Feud!

The Jon Jones and Tom Aspinal feud has been causing a lot of drama in the UFC’s heavyweight division, driven by accusations that Jones is ducking the interim champion. Aspinall’s patience is wearing thin, as he’s voiced multiple times on social media, his YouTube channel, podcasts, frustrated by waiting over 300 days since his last fight for the heavyweight belt. UFC CEO Dana White has repeatedly promised the fight, at first teasing as summer 2025 announcement, yet no date is set, leaving fans frustrated.

Jones, meanwhile, has stirred confusion with various social media posts, hinting at retirement with phrases like “I’m done” while also claiming that he could “Pop out and Show’em,” leaving fans, media, and Aspinall confused about his intentions. His Instragram live sessions, where he dismisses ducking claims by saying he’s “living my best life,” only to add to the drama.

Aspinall has turned this feud into a social media show, posting memes mocking Jones’ evasiveness from the fight. One viral video shows Jones playfully running from someone, which was later edited by Aspinall to depict him dodging the fight. Not to mention the duck emojis barrage and a toy rubber duck stunt in the past UFC event. Jones has, however, leaned into the joke and changed his Instagram and X’s profile picture with a cartoon duck holding a UFC belt.

Jon Jones Celebrates Phuket Seminar and Sarcastically Thanks Aspinall

Jones is living his best life at Thailand and has been there relaxing and enjoying a vacation. So Jones held a seminar at Phuket, Thailand, which he claimed was the largest in the Phuket’s history. The event drew a lot of attention with Jones claiming that half of the audience travelled from UK to participate.

Using this opportunity Jones mockingly thanked Tom Aspinall, the interim champ from the UK, for the “free promo,” that drew the British Crowd, saying, “Massive shoutout to my guy Tom… couldn’t have done it without you.”

Aspinall Fired Back With a Playful Jab at Jones

Just a couple of hours later Tom Aspinall fired back with a playful jab saying, “My pleasure Jon. Told you I’m not an a******. Glad you’re enjoying retirement,” staying consistent with a duck emoji at the very end.

Their ongoing feud is building a lot of anticipation for the fight, and if and where it happens, this will arguably be the biggest fight in recent history. However, for now, fans have been keeping themselves busy by signing a petition nearing 200,000 signatures to strip Jones’ title, which may have stoked further tensions between the two fighters.
