NBA Playoffs Props for Oklahoma City Thunder vs Minnesota Timberwolves Game 2

Shubham Singh

The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on 05/22. The Thunder won Game 1 by 26 points (114-88) behind a 31-point performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Can Anthony Edwards erupt for a big-time performance to level things in Game 2? Here is a look at the player props based on BetMGM and FanDuel.

Anthony Edwards O 3.5 Three-Pointers for +124 (FanDuel)

Edwards made the most triples during the Regular Season. He has brought his red-hot shooting to the postseason, as evidenced by 16 triples in three matches to end the Western Conference Semi-Finals series against the Golden State Warriors.

However, he made just 3 in Game 1 of the WCF, failing to go “over” after three successive games. I expect him to make at least 4 here.

Chet Holmgren O 8.5 Rebounds for -112 (FanDuel)

Holmgren grabbed 7 rebounds in Game 1 of the WCF. Before that, he had averaged 10.8 RPG in the WCSF series against the Denver Nuggets. In that series, he grabbed double-digit rebounds on five occasions. While he failed to go “over” the mark in Game 1, I expect him to do it here in Game 2.

Julius Randle O 20.5 Points for +100 (BetMGM)

Randle was on fire in Game 1, nailing five triples en route to an efficient 28-point night. He has now gone “Over” the points mark in five straight matches. Despite producing 21+ points in these matches, the bookmakers expect him to go under 20 points, believing that the Thunder’s defense will make some decisive defensive adjustments. But I think Randle is in superb form and will score at least 25 again.

Shai Gillgeous-Alexander U 31.5 points for -110 (BetMGM)

SGA put up 31 points in Game 1, and the bookmakers have raised the identical odds to the same mark. He has scored 30+ in 8 of the last 10 games, on par with his regular-season performances. Despite that, I believe the Timberwolves will make tremendous defensive adjustments to hold him below 30 here.

Mike Conley O 3.5 assists for -114 (FanDuel)

Conley has declined a lot this season, even as a playmaker. He used to dish 6+ assists regularly but served just 3 helpers in Game 1. In the previous series, he did much better, averaging 5 APG and putting up 5 assists or more in four out of five cases. Thus, I see him bouncing back from a poor offensive night and dishing at least 4 assists here.

Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
