Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry showed his class against the Mavericks in San Francisco. His fourth-quarter heroics pulled off a great comeback for the Warriors at Bay Arena. The 36-year-old joined greats like LeBron James and Michael Jordan on the list, thanks to 37 points and five three-pointers.

It was a reunion clash for the Splash Brothers but Steph Curry had the final laugh. At one stage in the fourth quarter, the Mavericks were leading the game but Curry scored the last 12 points in a closely contested game. He spoiled the return of Thompson who scored 22 points in the loss.

A record-master Steph Curry create NBA history

It was the second straight game for the Warriors point guard with more than 35 points. He scored 36 points and hit seven 3-pointers on Sunday night against the Thunder. He joined legendary names like LeBron James and Michael Jordan to create an NBA history. Curry became the third player to have consecutive games scoring at least 35 points at the age of 36 or older.

Meanwhile, the Warriors superstar became the point guard with the most career games scoring 30 points in NBA history. He scripted a solid comeback on Tuesday night when the Warriors were four points behind with three minutes to play.

Steph Curry is “Clutch Player of the Year” for a reason

It was the 14th occasion when Curry scored a high-scoring sequence in a clutch moment. Damian Lillard takes the second spot with 11 such instances. Legendary LeBron James achieved this milestone 10 times in his career. Kobe Bryant has done it nine times. It means, Steph Curry sets a new benchmark at the age of 36 years.

Steph Curry led the Warriors to post a 9-2 record in the first 11 games and are tied for the best record in the West. The 36-year-old is the reigning Clutch Player of the Year and he proved this reward by dropping crucial points in clutch time. Steph Curry amassed 37 points and added 9 assists while shooting 60 percent from two (9-for-15) and 41.7 percent from three (5-for-12).
