American football quarterback Cameron Anthony Ward played for the University of Incarnate Word from 2020 to 2021. In his rookie year at college, Ward started six games finishing with a record of 3-3. He was named as the starter for Incarnate Word in 2022. Ward started all 13 games in 2022 completing 384 passes for 4,648 yards and 47 touchdowns.

Announcing his allegiance to Washington State in January 2022, Ward went on to start 25 games for them over two years. The Texas-born chose to commit to the University of Miami choosing to use his eligibility transfer. He had a breakout year in Miami leading them to a 10-3 record. Ward completed 305 passes for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns in 2024 as per Sports Reference.

Ward also won several honours in his final season in college football. Winning the Davey O’Brien and Manning Awards, he comes in as one of the most decorated players in the 2025 NFL Draft. Moreover, Ward was also named in the First-team All ACC, Consensus All-American and ACC Player of the Year in 2024.
