What Draft Picks Do the Denver Broncos Have in 2025? Denver Broncos 2025 NFL Draft Picks per Round

Devavrat Kulkarni

The Broncos have a nicely balanced roster but there is always room for improvement!

Last season the Denver Broncos finally broke an 8-year-long slump of missing the playoffs after they earned a Wild Card spot with a 10-7 record. Sean Payton’s second year in charge was a big difference as he took a team struggling for any success post the Peyton Manning era and turned it into a well-knit unit.

After a horrible start in his first season in charge that saw Denver go 1-5 in the first 6 games, Peyton and the Broncos started to turn things around. Although they still missed the postseason in 2023, the seeds were planted and in 2024, led by rookie quarterback Bo Nix, the Broncos looked much sharper. Obviously, more work still needs to be done, but they are on the right track. The AFC West has suddenly become more competitive with the Chargers and Broncos knocking on the Chiefs’ door as they look to stake claim at the top of the division.

What Are the Broncos’ Draft Picks in 2025?

The Denver Broncos have a total of 7 picks in this year’s draft. They have 1 selection in each of the first four rounds, but no picks in rounds 5 and 7. With 3 selections, round 6 will be their busiest round. The Broncos first-round draft pick is currently number 20 overall and there will be no changes to their selections unless any trades take place.

Positional Needs for the Broncos

The Broncos’ main areas of concern will be to strengthen the offense around second-year quarterback Bo Nix. Adding a running back in this year’s draft will be one of the main priorities. This year’s running back class goes deep which means the Broncos who are drafting at number 20 will still be able to select one of the top running backs.

The other place the Broncos could look to add a player is wide receiver. While they have Courtland Sutton and Marvin Mims Jr., another able body at receiver could do wonders for Nix who was starting to look extremely well towards the end of last season.

On defense, Denver could look to possibly add depth at the corner position. Patrick Surtain is already an established CB1, but they could use depth at the position in case of injuries. Overall, the Broncos’ roster is pretty well-balanced and they don’t have too many areas that need significant improvement.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
