“I’m Under Contract At Real Madrid” – Carlo Ancelotti Dismisses Talks of Brazil Coaching Job

The Italian manager has been heavily linked to taking over from Dorival Junior.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly planning to leave at the end of the summer. He has a contract until 2026, but few reports have claimed that he will not continue next season. With one of the most decorated managers available on the market, rumors are naturally swirling and it seems Brazil national team could be his next destination.

After Brazil’s bad run in the World Cup Qualifiers, the Italian manager has been heavily linked to taking over from Dorival Junior. However, Ancelotti has ruled out all the talks, claiming he is focused on the current season.

In the latest interview ahead of Real Madrid’s La Liga clash against Leganes, Ancelotti replied to rumours saying:

“I appreciate Brazil but there was NO contact at all between the Federation and myself in the recent days. My full focus is on Real Madrid”.

“I’m under contract at Real Madrid and my focus is on winning titles. We have important targets now”.

Since taking over in 2021 for his second reign at Madrid, Ancelotti has had a successful run. Losing only 31 of the 220 games played as of March, he has won La Liga and the Champions League twice.

Real Madrid are currently trailing Barcelona by three points in La Liga. However, the 65-year-old remains confident of catching up to their rivals with an El Clasico ahead.
