Luka Doncic enters the Mavs game with a breakthrough performance against Denver.

Luka Doncic is ready to face his former team, Dallas Mavericks for the first time since blockbuster trade that sent him to the Los Angeles Lakers. It will be an emotional matchup for the 25-year-old guard on Tuesday night. All the attention of NBA fans will be shifted to this game which already made a hype.

The five-time All-Star was on the radar of the fans following a poor show in the Lakers’ disappointing loss to the Hornets where he committed six turnovers. However, Doncic bounced back in his fourth game and highlighted his first breakthrough performance for the Lakers.

Luka Doncic tallied 32 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists against the Nuggets while shooting 10-for-22. He was on minutes restriction during the two-game set against the Jazz but JJ Redick allowed him to play more. The 25-year-old guard recorded more than 30 minutes in his last two games.

Luka Doncic has missed only one game since his debut against Jazz on Feb. 10. He returned to Nuggets’ game after calf injury and was listed probable on Saturday. The Lakers guard will play against the Mavericks on Tuesday as he is off the injury report.

As per Jordan Richard, Luka Doncic attended the practice session on Monday for the upcoming game. He is in ‘high spirits’ for his first challenge against the former team. On the other hand, Anthony Davis will be out for the Mavs due to injury.

“I think he’s going to be excited,” Dorian Finney-Smith said, who played with Doncic during the Mavericks career. “But everybody in the locker room is excited. We got his back.”
