Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Charlotte Hornets in the first game after the NBA All-Star break. Newly acquired guard, Luka Doncic recorded a double-double but his struggle in the first half made headlines. Fans were not happy with Doncic’s terrible shooting against the Hornets.

The former Mavericks star scored four points in the first half while shooting 2-for-9. He also went 0-for-5 in three-point range and committed 5 turnovers. However, the Lakers controlled the game and held an 11-point lead at halftime.

Luka Doncic tried to improve his game in the second and fell shy of two assists to record his first triple-double for the Lakers. However, it was one of the poor outings for the five-time All-Star.

Despite an early lead in the opening half, the Lakers were routed by the Hornets with a solid comeback. Charlotte outscored Los Angeles 32-18 in the third quarter and didn’t lose the three-point lead till the end.
