Gottlieb questioned LeBron James' priorities in a rapid response on Fox Sports Radio.

The Twitter feud between LeBron James and Doug Gottlieb has moved towards a new direction as Bronny James enters the topic. Meanwhile, Bronny James always finds a way to get into the discussion of LeBron James. Doug Gottlieb’s struggles as coach is also part of the topic and this drama is adding layers.

Gottlieb questioned LeBron James’ priorities in a rapid response on Fox Sports Radio. Wisconsin-Green Bay head coach talked about Bronny James’ selection and blamed his father, LeBron James for doing favors. He also added that he is not interested to response on a guy who is making millions of dollars, and sitting in Los Angeles tweeting at him.

Gottlieb and LeBron James conflict is picking speed on social media

“This is not high school, middle school, AAU. It’s not even college. It’s the NBA. It’s the Lakers. And if you’re not comfortable with that, then maybe you shouldn’t be forcing your way into the NBA. I don’t understand why a guy on his day off, with millions in the bank, is tweeting at me from L.A.,” Gottlieb posted a remark on LeBron James.

Gottlieb is against the Lakers’ decision to draft Bronny James and targeted LeBron James to use his influence in the team. The 49-year-old sports analyst feels that Bronny James would not even be a starter on his Green Bay team.

Recently, Steve A. Smith also criticized LeBron James for doing favors for his son. He admired Bronny James’ potential but still, gave him a suggestion to play in the G League. Stephen A. Smith also made plea to LeBron James to stop this and let his son earn the NBA selection.

LeBron James responded to Gottlieb with a criticism of Green Bay’s performance. Gottlieb finished the season with 3-24 and had a 21-game losing streak. The Lakers responded to a post from College Basketball Report detailing Green Bay’s struggles, and laughed on it. LeBron made a big remark on Gottlieb’s coaching stint.

Gottlieb responded quicky and accused Lakers guard of “punching down.” He also offered a suggestion to LeBron to not waste energy challenging a small-time college coach. It’s clear that LeBron took Gottlieb’s comments personally. The veteran star already faced the backlash for not playing the All-Star Game.

Despite all this, LeBron James was in the starting lineup against the Charlotte Hornets. He opted out from the All-Star Game due to ankle soreness. The 40-year-old highlighted a poster dunk on Wednesday over Mark Williams, who played his first game against the Lakers since his trade involving Dalton Knecht rescinded.
