NBA teams with the easiest remaining schedules after NBA All-Star break

As the 2025 NBA All-Star comes to end, all eyes shift towards the NBA season. With only 28-30 games remaining in the regular season and spots in the playoffs for the taking, every team will we on their top game.

Some teams have it easier than others as we look at the top-five teams with the easiest Strength of Schedule (SOS), according to Tankathon.

Top-5 teams with the weakest schedules post NBA All-Star break

5. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves were the seventh-seed going into the All-Star break with a 31-25 record. They went into the All-Star break with a 6-4 record in their last 10 games, matching the Los Angeles Clippers who sit sixth in the Western Conference.

Sitting only spot behind the guaranteed playoffs spot, the Timberwolves face the fifth easiest SOS to close out the season. They are playing nine games of the remaining against the likes of Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets and the Brooklyn Nets.

4. Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers were the 11th seed going into the All-Star break with a 20-34 record. The injuries have reeked havoc for the franchise as they sit out of the play-in spots.

However, the 76ers has the fourth weakest SOS which gives them an edge over the other play-in teams. They sit 1.5 games behind the 10th seed and will play two crucial games against the 10th seeded Chicago Bulls in the race for a play-in spot. Seven of their remaining 26 games (excluding Bulls games) will be against the likes of Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans, who will most likely be tanking for Cooper Flagg at the end of the season.

3. Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics were the second-seed going into the All-Star break with a 39-16 record. They went into the All-Star break with a three-game win streak which includes a crucial win over the New York Knicks.

The Boston Celtics sit 5.5 games behind the number one seeds, Cleveland Cavaliers. With the third easiest SOS, the Celtics will like to close the gap for the number one seed. They play eight of their 27 games against the likes of Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Utah Jazz and Charlotte Hornets.

2. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards were the the 15th seed going into the All-Star break with a 9-45 record. Only team with less than 10 wins in the entire NBA.

The easiest SOS doesn’t bring any benefits to the Wizards as they are in a tanking race for Cooper Flagg. After trading Kyle Kuzma to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Wizards shut their shop down for the season and will play multiple contenders to closeout the season.

1. Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors were the 13th seed going into the All-Star break with a 17-38 record. They gained back some momentum in January, winning seven of the 15 games. However, winning only two of the last seven games going into the All-Star break.

The Raptors will have a decision to make which also depends on the health of their starting center in Jacob Poeltl. With Brandon Ingram out indefinitely, the responsibilities will lie on Scottie Barnes, RJ Barrett and Gradey Dick to lead the team to a possible play-in spot.

With only a five-game difference to the 10th seed, the Raptors will play three games against the Washington Wizards, two versus the Utah Jazz and two against the Charlotte Hornets. The team will play two crucial games each, against the play-in rivals in Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers and the Brooklyn Nets.
