Most valuable NBA franchise in 2025 revealed and it is not Lakers

Suryansh Kumar

Let's take a look at the most valuable NBA franchise in 2025.

The NBA boasts some of the greatest talent to play basketball ever. The league has seen a constant rise in their revenue and are second in money making, behind only NFL. Many NBA teams have multiplied their value either by winning multiple NBA championships or drafting a generational talent.

The Golden State Warriors did both when they drafted Stephen Curry with seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. They went on to win four NBA championships (2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022) while Curry won two MVP (2015 and 2016) and one Finals MVP (2022). The owners bought the franchise for a record $450 million in 2010 and the franchise is now valued at $9.14 billion, which is a 19.31% increase on their initial investment.

The Warriors have left behind the Los Angeles Lakers who has 17 NBA Championships, the large market New York Knicks, Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls. The difference between the Warriors and second place, Knicks is of approximately $1.9 billion, speaking volumes of their dominance.

According to an article by Forbes, the Warriors are the second most valuable sports team. They displaced the MLB giants, New York Yankees, to take the second spot, behind the Dallas Cowboys.
