Mac McClung is the only man in the history of All-Star weekend to three-peat the Slam dunk contest. He has won three consecutive trophies in 2023, 2024 and 2025 and written his name in the history books with the 2025 NBA All-Star performance. He had four 50-score dunks in the 2025 NBA All-Star slam dunk contest and only sits behind, Zach Lavine and Aaron Gordon who both have five perfect dunks in a single All-Star slam dunk contest.

Mac McClung also tied the record of Aaron Gordon who had the most 50-score dunks in the history of the All-Star slam dunk contest. Let’s look at all the 50-score dunks by Mac McClung in the All-Star slam dunk contest.

2023

Mac McClung was up against Kenyon Martin Jr., Trey Murphy III and Jericho Sims for the 2023 All-Star slam dunk trophy. In the first round, Kenyon Martin Jr. and Jericho Sims were eliminated and Trey Murphy (96 points) and Mac McClung (99.8) battled for the trophy. In the finals, McClung swept the competition by scoring two perfect dunks and won his maiden NBA All-Star slam dunk contest.

2024

Mac McClung had to go through a tough set of players to win his second NBA All-Star slam dunk contest. He faced Jaylen Brown, Jacob Toppin and Jaime Jaquez Jr. and made it to finals with a score of 97.4, facing Jaylen Brown in the finals. The scores were neck and neck as McClung led by 0.2 points (48.8 to 48.6) going into his final dunk. The former champion pulled a perfect 50-score to defend his trophy and wrote his name in the history books as one of the few to win it two times.

2025

All eyes were on Mac McClung, who was looking to become the first man to three-peat the NBA All-Star Slam dunk contest. Matas Buzelis, Stephon Castle and Andre Jackson Jr. stood in his way for the title and he delivered a masterclass, all four dunks with a 50-score. His first dunk was a leap over the Kia Sedan and executed a reverse slam dunk, setting an early tone for the contest. His last dunk was a double dunk, slamming two basketballs into the hoop simultaneously and completing his three-peat with style.

The NBA also posted a video on their official Youtube channel, ranking all his 50-score dunks after his three-peat.
