While we are on the matter of greatness, word around the internet has it that celebrated soccer star Lionel Messi is set to attend Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans this coming Sunday.

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for one of the biggest nights of their careers. Super Bowl LIX is almost upon us and it will be all the more important for the Chiefs as they try to achieve a feat never accomplished in the NFL’s Super Bowl era – the quest for the first three-peat.

It is always a wonderful feeling to see stars from other sports take a keen interest and attend some of the biggest sporting events around the globe. With Messi in the stands for the Super Bowl, the game will be that much more exciting.

Messi himself has been in various career-defining games throughout his career. The Argentine great has a boatload of trophies with his crown jewel being the FIFA World Cup which he won with the Argentine National Soccer Team in 2022.

Patrick Mahomes’ Take On Messi

During his round of media interviews, Mahomes was all praise for the Inter Miami star describing him as the GOAT of his profession. When asked by a reporter on what it means for him to have Messi in the stands watching him play, the three-time Super Bowl winner had this to say: “He’s the GOAT of his profession and to have someone like that at the game it’ll be awesome. I’ll get to showcase who I am and what talent that I have.”
