Daniel Gafford has sustained a Garde 3 right MCL sprain, as per sources.
Dallas Mavericks were fully involved in the trade window but couldn’t prevail over the injury concerns. Another key player joined the injury list. Daniel Gafford, who had a right knee sprain during the 127-128 loss to the Sacramento Kings, will be out for an extended period.
Gafford was also ruled out for the remainder of the game on Monday. He also left the Mavericks down in the center position. Dallas star needed assistance walking back to the locker room in the second quarter. He finished the game with four points, three rebounds and two assists across 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks are now thin at center as Anthony Davis is already sidelined after facing a groin injury during his debut against the Rockets. Kylor Kelley and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are remaining candidates to replace both centers. The short-handed Mavericks already faced the consequences due to regular injuries.
It could be a big setback for the Mavericks, who are chasing the playoffs. Gafford is likely to come back before the NBA playoffs. Dallas Mavericks are now on a two-game winning run and take the 8th spot in the West.
