LaVine's defensive plays helped Coby White in the final minutes.
Coby White stole the show during the Chicago Bulls’ 114-110 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The 24-year-old guard dropped a powerful game-icing slam over Victor Wembanyama to set a win for the Bulls.
Coby White’s poster dunk came when the Spurs had a one-point lead with 30 seconds remaining in the game. The 6-foot-4 guard lowered his head and charged the rim with a ‘dunk of the year.’ It became more special because he dunked over Wembanyama, who leads the league in blocks (116) and averaging 3.9 blocks per game.

Victor Wembanyama tied for a career-high eight blocks on Monday night. He blocked three of Coby’s shots before the final minute. It’s not possible to attack the rim if Victor Wembanyama is lurking around but 6’4 Coby White put 7’4 Wembanyama on a poster with 16 seconds left.

LaVine’s defensive plays helped Coby White in the final minutes. Before making a poster-perfect shot over Wembanyama, he made a driving layup to break the one-point deficit. For this season, Copy White’s poster dunk gives tough competition to Tre Mann’s insane slam over Noah Clowney on Nov 19. These two are the best dunks of the season 2024-25.
“I just told myself the next time I was gonna go, I was gonna try to dunk it,” White said. “I knew when I was driving, if I was going to lay it in, finger roll it, anything, he was gonna block it. So I just was like — I got to dunk it. I just wanted to make sure that I got the basket.”
Zach LaVine was the top performer for the Bulls with 35 points and 10 rebounds. Coby White added 23 points while shooting 9-for-18. Victor Wembanyama paced the Spurs with 23 points, and 14 rebounds and tied for a career-high 8 blocks. Chicago Bulls won their second straight game and Spurs dropped first game in their four-game road trip.
