Jack Draper and Casper Ruud will go head to head in the final of the 2025 Madrid Open on Sunday, knowing they are on the brink of a significant individual rise in the ATP Rankings. No. 5 seed Draper, who won the Masters 1000 earlier this year in Indian Wells, is now looking to win his first tour-level trophy on clay. On the flip side, Casper Ruud, a two-time Roland Garros runner-up, is aiming for his maiden Masters 1000 trophy.

Both Draper and Ruud have enjoyed a dominant campaign in the Spanish capital, with neither dropping a set in their journey to the championship game. Both are facing each other for the first time in the ATP competition. The surface is clay, and it will suit Casper Ruud, who is a two-time Roland Garros runner-up. The Norwegian has won 11 of his 12 titles on the clay court, while this is Draper’s first final on this surface.
