Zheng Qinwen vs. Amanda Anisimova Head to Head, Prediction and Betting Odds for WTA Queen’s Club 2025 Semifinal

Sankalp Harikrishnan

China battles USA in West London.

Top seed Zheng Qinwen battles American sensation Amanda Anisimova in the 2025 HSBC Championships semifinal at Queen’s Club, London on Saturday. Receiving scrutiny and critique for her grass court ability of late, Zheng is out to prove a point. But Anisimova’s flawless baseline prowess means that fans will be treated to a classic slugfest on Andy Murray Arena.

In 2024, Zheng Qinwen captured the Paris Olympics gold medal by beating Donna Vekic in the final. She is a masterful talent – relying on her scintillating serve and forehand. Ranked No. 5 in the world, Zheng overcame Briton Emma Raducanu in straight sets on Friday. Interestingly, this is the first time the 22-year-old is securing consecutive wins on this surface since Wimbledon 2022. Her jaw-dropping Round of 16 encounter against McCartney Kessler was touted as the match of the tournament.

In order to reach the summit clash, Zheng will have to overhaul Amanda Anisimova. The 23-year-old is a former Grand Slam semifinalist and dropped merely one set all week. She is one of the few players who can tame the Chinese No. 1’s strong baseline storm – both their matches last year lasted over 2 hours. She already has a WTA-1000 to her name this year (Doha), and Saturday presents an opportunity for her to earn back-to-back Top-10 successes for just the third time in her career.

Zheng Qinwen vs Amanda Anisimova Head to Head Record

The head-to-head between Zheng Qinwen and Amanda Anisimova is 2-0 to the Chinese starlet. She defeated her American counterpart twice in 2024. However, both encounters were on hard courts, which means that Saturday will present a new challenge for them.
