The stage is set for the 2025 WNBA Playoffs Round 2! After three exciting first-round clashes between top eight teams, we now have the top four. The Minnesota Lynx, Indiana Fever, Las Vegas Aces, and the Phoenix Mercury have punched their tickets to the semi-finals. The semi-finals kick off on Sunday, September 21, where these teams will clash against each other in a best-of-five series. The semis will follow a 2-2-1 format, where the higher seed gets home advantage, and will host Game 1, 2, and 5 (if needed).

Considering how thrilling the opening round has been, and the fact that three of four series went to decisive Game 3, one can expect more intensity and high-octane action as action moves a step closer to the coveted title.

2025 WNBA Playoffs Semi-finals Bracket

In the semi-finals, the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx will lock horns with the No. 4 Phoenix Mercury. On the other hand, the second-seeds Las Vegas Aces will square off the Indiana Fever in another best-of-five series.

Notably, the Minnesota Lynx were the only team to advance to Round 2 in two games. They took down the Golden State Valkyries 101-72 in Game 1, and 75-74 in a nail-biting Game 2. The Phoenix Mercury, on the other hand, knocked out the reigning champions, New York Liberty, in a three-game series. After losing the series opener at home, the Mercury pulled off two back-to-back victories to reach their first semifinals since 2021.

Talking about the Las Vegas Aces, A’ja Wilson and Co. handed a 102-77 defeat to the Seattle Storm in Game 1. However, the Storm were quick to bounce back and they registered an 86-83 win at home in Game 2. In the decisive Game 3, the Aces registered a remarkable 74-73 win over their counterparts. Similarly, the Indiana Fever, considered one of the least favorites to even make it the postseason at one point, went all guns blazing on the Atlanta Dream in the final two games before slumping to them in the series opener 80-68.
