On September 4, the WNBA delivered thrilling contests as the Phoenix Mercury dominated the Washington Mystics, Golden State Valkyries rallied past the Dallas Wings, and Las Vegas Aces stunned the Minnesota Lynx.

WNBA Results: Washington Mystics 69-75 Phoenix Mercury

The Mystics suffered their eighth straight WNBA defeat against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday. On the other side, the Mercury won their 6th consecutive game.

The Mercury completely controlled the contest, since the Mystics showed minimal drive to reverse the momentum on Thursday. The Phoenix Mercury secured a 75-69 victory, building further momentum in preparation for an interesting post-season ahead.

Golden State Valkyries 84-80 Dallas Wings

The Golden State Valkyries executed a remarkable turnaround during the Wings game to secure their qualification for the WNBA playoffs. The Chase Center erupted in joy when the Valkyries pushed hard in the second quarter, overcoming a nine point deficit.

Up until the midpoint of the third quarter, the Dallas Wings steadily maintained a double-digit advantage over their opponents. However, they failed to maintain that advantage ultimately, leading to a spectacular 84-80 victory for the Valkyries.

Paige Bueckers served as one of the key architects for the Dallas Wings in the second half, scoring 27 points. For the Golden State, Janelle Salaun scored 19 points, while Veronica Burton and Carla Leite each scored 15.
