The domination stretched to the second quarter as well with a 14-9 scoreline ensuring a big lead for the Valkyries. However, it was the second half where the game made a massive turnaround.

The Minnesota Lynx built momentum with a 21-22 performance in the third quarter. And dominantly, they won the game in the last seconds with a 75-74 score. It was a heartbreak for the Valkyries, but they must also be proud of the fight that they just put up against the league’s best side.

WNBA Results: New York Liberty 60-86 Phoenix Mercury

The Phoenix Mercury had pressure coming into the second contest after losing their home game. Both the sides started hot with a 25-25 score in the first quarter. The Mercury took a big lead with a 26-12 score in the next quarter.

The visitors maintained consistency in the performance, and saw the game out in the second half. They won by 86-60, taking the series back to Phoenix. Satou Sabally, and Alyssa Thomas each scored 15 points on Wednesday.
