The Connecticut Sun finally notched their first win of the season. Even more impressive, the victory came against title favorites Indiana Fever. Connecticut Sun dominated for most of the game taking it to the very last play.

Indiana was without Caitlin Clark and lost two more players mid-game to injury, giving the Sun a crucial edge. This paved the way for the Sun to have their first win. Marina Mabrey’s 26 points helped in their 85-83 win on Friday.

New York Liberty also cruised through a win against the Washington Mystics on Friday. This marked their sixth consecutive win and a clean 6-0 record. As a result of that, the Liberty sit right at the top of the table continuing their dominance across the WNBA.

Sabrina Ionescu bounced back after a cold streak, dropping 28 points. Jonquel Jones scored 14 points. The New York Liberty comfortably won their fixture against the Washington Mystics by 85-63.
