Minneapolis rematch loaded with tension
Chicago Sky produced one of the season’s most surprising performances and are now set for an immediate rematch against the Minnesota Lynx. The game will be played at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
The Sky, currently 10th in the WNBA standings, went up against league leaders Minnesota Lynx on Friday. Unexpectedly, the hosts put up an offensive display in the first quarter, scoring 29 points in just 10 mins. The Lynx weren’t far with their 23 points.
Doubling down on their early momentum, the Chicago Sky widened the gap by outscoring the Lynx 28-21 in the second quarter. However, the Lynx shortened the double-digit deficit right after the first half by outscoring their opponents 23-16. The Sky shifted their strategy midway through the game, focusing heavily on defense to maintain their narrow lead.
The Sky’s towering tandem delivered BIG.
