The Indiana Fever (14-12) is an enigma. They have sustained a decent season without Caitlin Clark. But on one night, they can beat the best of them while losing to average squads on other nights. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Mercury (16-9) has shown much more consistency despite endless injury troubles but lately, they have hit a rough patch.
On Wednesday, these two will clash in an exciting battle, and there will be plenty of fireworks even without CC. Here is a look at my three favorite players’ props and the prediction for the game.
No one cooks it like Mitchell in the East. The versatile scorer has carried Indiana’s season on her back. She is putting up an impressive 20.2 PPG, third-best mark in the W. The Fever guard is shooting a highly impressive 46.8% and making 2.4 triples on a 38.3% clip.
Mitchell has scored 20 or more in six of the last seven games, indicating her incredible form. I expect her to go “Over” the mark here.

| Picks | BetMGM Odds |
| Mitchell O 19.5 Points | -105 |
| Boston O 7.5 Rebounds | -135 |
| Copper O 1.5 3-Pointers | +105 |
| Spread: Mercury -3.5 | -118 |
The Fever center is one of the best rebounders in the league. She has been on fire, racking up the boards lately. The low-post maestro is tallying 8 rebounds per game. Boston has piled up 10 rebounds or more in three straight games. I expect her to go “Over” the mark here.

Copper is having another productive offensive season. She has boosted the Mercury offense, but injury troubles have limited her production. The Mercury SG has nailed 1.9 3-pointers per game this season. The Fever guard has made 2 or more 3-pointers in seven of the last eight games. I expect her to bury at least 2 here, again.

You can also convert these picks into a neat Same Game Parlay. The likelihood of all these props clicking is high, and it can give us a strong parlay. The odds take a dip due to the three-pointers calculation but they are not out of the realm. A SGP herely is surely worth trying.

The Mercury will fancy their chances here. But they should be wary of the Fever, who know how to make big runs. They have won five of the last seven games, but the twin losses against the high-ranked NY Liberty must have bothered them.
The Fever has a terrific offense, scoring 85+ mostly, shooting around 45%. On the other hand, Mercury has the second-best three-point squad (9.7 3 PM). But, there is no doubt, Mercury has the better defense.
They are one of the few teams to allow fewer than 80 regularly. The Fever has allowed just around 80 points, but that is misleading since most of it comes from blowout wins. Mostly, they do give up 82+ or so.
Anyway, we are in for a close battle, but I’d trust the Mercury to win their second in a row to overcome a three-game losing streak before that.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
