The WNBA season is breezing through, and each day has electric action. The wave of young basketball stars, especially Caitlin Clark, has opened up a whole new avenue for betting in the league, and the interest is peaking with each passing day. So, where will you place your stake today? Come and join us to find the best bet for the WNBA action on May 30, 2025.
It is an exciting four-game day in the high-octane, physical league. In the first game, WNBA champs New York Liberty (6-0) will host the Connecticut Sun (1-5) at 3:00 PM ET.
In the middle slate, the Los Angeles Sparks (2-5) will host the Phoenix Mercury (4-2) while the Seattle Storm (3-3) will host the Las Vegas Aces (3-2). Both games will take place at 6 PM ET.
In the last game of the day, the Golden State Valkyries (2-3) will host the Minnesota Lynx (6-0) at 8:30 AM ET.
These are your WNBA best picks for 06/01/2025 on BetMGM.
The Fever have played the defending champs thus far, and the addition of Natasha Cloud has only made them scarier. The bookmakers have projected an 18+ win for them. The number looks high, but not surprising since they have won three of their last five games with 18 points or more.
On the other hand, the Sun captured their first win of the season against the Caitlin Clark-less Fever. But before that, they had lost five games. Two of these losses were by 20+ points.
But I believe the struggling Sun will cover the bloated spread here. The value is too high, so they should at least keep the losing margin to 15.
The Mercury suffered twin heartbreaks on Thursday. They lost to the Minnesota Lynx by three points on a game-winning shot by Natisha Hiedeman, but more importantly, Alyssa Thomas suffered an injury. She has helped the Mercury to a 4-2 start, and it will be difficult to fill the void.
Satous Sabally has been the leading scorer, but with Thomas out, they have a serious scoring depth problem. On the other hand, the Sparks are having another poor start to the season despite Kelsey Plum’s high-quality play.
They have had multiple 80+ points efforts but I believe the Sun will force them into a low-scoring battle here, and the total will fall below 160.
Bet #3: Seattle Storm vs Las Vegas Aces: Total O 163.5 (-105 at BetMGM)
The Storm has been a mixed bag thus far, as indicated by their 3-3 record. Their offense has been slow to take off, scoring 70 or fewer points in four of the six games. On the other hand, the Aces’ defense has been a bit down.
During the last battle between the Storm and the Aces, Las Vegas conceded 102 points. I believe the Storm will be up again for a big scoring night, and the same thing goes for the Aces. There is a high chance the total will hit the “Over” mark.
Bookmakers struggle to project the WNBA total compared to the NBA. The variations in the 40 minutes are way higher than the male counterpart. We can have a team score 102 in a game and then 70ish in the next.
However, the Money Line and Spread are more predictable. Top dogs like the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty have remained at the top of the game for many years, and now the Minnesota Lynx have joined them. Betting in favor of Liberty and Lynx has espescially been fruitful these days.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
