Thunder vs Nuggets: Will Nikola Jokic play tonight?

The Denver Nuggets will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder in the battle of two NBA MVP contenders, Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Denver won two straight games after snapping a three-game losing streak. The Suns pulled off a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the Nuggets held their nerves in overtime.

On the other hand, OKC Thunder are on a six-game winning streak, and they won their last game without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is chasing the MVP title this season. Oklahoma City have posted a 52-11 record in the West.

It will be a two-game set between the Nuggets and the Thunder. Both teams are 1-1 in the regular-season series. Sunday’s afternoon matchup will be a top-of-the-table clash between two Western Conference sides. Lakers’ defeat against the Celtics helped Denver to retain the second spot.

Jokic is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Serbian star was listed on two previous injury reports, but he played on both occasions.

The reigning MVP is averaging 30.2 points, 13.4 rebounds and 10 assists per game in the regular season. Joker is dealing with left ankle inflammation but somehow managed to play regularly in Denver’s starting lineup.

Apart from Jokic, Aaron Gordon (left ankle sprain) is also listed as probable. DaRon Holmes II (right achilles tendon) and Julian Strawther (left knee sprain) remain out from this contest.
