Matthew Stafford and the Rams (7-6) are coming off a 44-42 thriller against Josh Allen and the Bills, the highest scoring game of the 2024 season yet. The Rams’ offense looked phenomenal and the defense held the relentless attack from Josh Allen better than what many experts anticipated.

A win here for the 49ers will give a significant boost to their playoff hopes but a loss might virtually eliminate them. 11% chances to reach the postseason but <1 percent if they lose- that’s how close the margins are for the 11th seeded 49ers.

As for the 8th seeded Rams, they are also on the bubble. A win here consolidates their chance to qualify for the postseason to 50% but a loss will drop their chances to 22%. The Rams are ranked 2nd in the NFC West whereas the 49ers are ranked 4th.
