Week 8 Monday Night Football Start Time and TV Channel – What Time Do the Kansas City Chiefs Play Tonight and What Channel?

Devavrat Kulkarni

The 3-4 Washington Commanders travel to Kansas City to take on the 4-3 Chiefs on MNF tonight!

Tonight, week 8 of the 2025-26 NFL season will see its conclusion with Monday Night Football’s (MNF) prime-time game scheduled to take place between two teams needing a win to keep pace with their respective division leaders. The Kansas City Chiefs are currently 4-3 and sitting third in the AFC West, but who are their opponents in tonight’s MNF game?

Who Do the Kansas City Chiefs Play Tonight?

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Washington Commanders in tonight’s MNF matchup. The 3-4 Commanders currently find themselves in third place behind the Eagles and Cowboys in the NFC East.

The Chiefs have looked a much better team over the past few weeks, and with wide receiver Rashee Rice back in the mix, the KC offense is back in full flow.

As for the Commanders, they will be without starting quarterback Jayden Daniels who continues to recover from a hamstring injury. However, the good news is that wide receiver duo Deebo Samuel and Terry McClaurin will both play in tonight’s game.

Week 8 Monday Night Football Start Time

The Monday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Washington Commanders will kick-off at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.

Week 8 MNF TV Channel

Tonight’s prime-time game is part of the Monday Night Football package whose television rights belong to the ESPN network. The game between the Chiefs and the Commanders will be telecast on ESPN and its sister channel, ABC, while live streaming options include Fubo, ESPN+, and NFL+.

Week 8 Monday Night Football Result Prediction

Both teams are heading into tonight’s game with opposing fortunes. The Chiefs are currently on a two-game win streak having defeated the Lions and Raiders in the previous 2 weeks, while the Commanders are on a two-game losing streak with losses to the Bears and Cowboys, respectively.

Overall, the Chiefs have been strong defensively throughout the season, and the offense has caught on, which means the Chiefs Kingdom is witnessing a rare occurrence when both sides of the ball are playing well.

The Commanders, however, are not playing as per expectations this season. After reaching the NFC Conference Championship game last season, Jayden Daniels and the Commanders have struggled to get going. Moreover, Daniels is out of action, leaving the offense in the hands of backup quarterback Marcus Mariota. Thus, we have the Chiefs coming out on top in this week’s MNF matchup.

  • Week 8 MNF Kick-Off Time: 8:15 PM ET
  • Location: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri

Our Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs to win.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
