Week 3 Sunday Night Football – Who Plays on Sunday Night Football Tonight? Where to watch Week 3 Sunday Night Football, SNF Kick-Off Time and More

Devavrat Kulkarni

Its the battle between two 0-2 teams in New York for week 3 SNF!

The week 3 Sunday Night Football (SNF) prime-time game is just a few hours away. With two games already under their belts, teams are slowly figuring out their identities and what is working well and what is not. Tonight’s game promises to be yet another classic, so without further ado, here are the details for tonight’s SNF game.

Who’s playing Sunday Night Football Tonight?

It is the Kansas City Chiefs who take on the New York Giants in the ‘Big Apple’ for this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup. The Chiefs find themselves in a rather precarious position as they enter week 3 with a 0-2 record for the first time in the Patrick Mahomes era.

Struggling to get any offensive momentum going due to wide receiver injuries and a lack of a run game, Kansas City will be hoping to turn things around against the Giants.

Speaking of the Giants, the Russell Wilson-led team is also 0-2 with losses to the Commanders and Cowboys. Although they lost quite easily against Washington, it was a highly competitive game against Dallas in week 2, in which they lost 40-37 in overtime.

Chiefs vs Giants Head-to-Head Record ahead of SNF tonight

The Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Giants have met only 15 times previously. The head-to-head record stands lopsidedly in favor of the Giants, who have won 11 of the 15 matchups to date.

Moreover, another disturbing fact for the Chiefs is that they are 0-7 on the road against the Giants. Having said that, the last time two teams met in New York was back in 2017, which was during the final season of Alex Smith’s era. Smith threw 2 interceptions and no touchdowns in that 12-9 loss in New York.

However, the last time both teams met was at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on November 2, 2021. Mahomes had 275 passing yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception, while Daniel Jones had 222 yards, 2 touchdowns, and a pick in a 20-17 Chiefs win.

What Time Does Week 3 Sunday Night Football Start Tonight?

Sunday Night Football between the Chiefs and the Giants starts at 8:20 p.m. ET (7:20 p.m. CT). The game will be played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the home of the Giants.

Week 3 SNF TV Channel – Can I watch Sunday Night Football on Peacock?

With the Chiefs and Giants game falling under the Sunday Night Football slate, this game can be viewed on NBC and Peacock. Live streaming will also be available on Peacock and NBC.com. Fans can also watch the action unfold via NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV.

Week 3 Sunday Night Football Result Prediction

Going by the past few seasons, this game would have been easy to call had it not been for the Chiefs’ most recent struggles. Led by Mahomes and Kelce on offense and an above-average defense, the Chiefs would have been favorites by a larger margin.

However, they are struggling mightily this season, and doubt has started to creep in. That said, we still pick them over this Giants’ team, though the game could be closer than expected.

Week 3 TNF Kick-Off Time: 8:20 PM ET

Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Our Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs to win.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
