The NFL’s week 3 Sunday games provided plenty of surprises along the way, with underdogs earning big wins, teams losing their undefeated status, as well as exciting plays on special teams.

But now it is time to look forward to one of the biggest games of the week coming up on Monday Night Football (MNF) tonight. Two of the league’s top teams are set to take the field in a clash that promises to be worth the watch.

Who’s playing on Monday Night Football?

The week 3 Monday Night Football (MNF) contest will see the Detroit Lions head east to take on the Baltimore Ravens. The game will feature some of the biggest stars of the league as two high-octane teams battle it out, with the winner going to 2-1 on the season, and the loser falling to 1-2.

Both teams will be eyeing a win tonight as it will keep them in contention for their respective divisional titles. The Lions are coming off an impressive showing against the Chicago Bears in week 2, following the unimpressive loss to the Packers in week 1.

Last week, Detroit put off 52 points on the board as Jared Goff uncorked, throwing for 334 yards and 5 touchdowns. Jahmyr Gibbs had 94 rushing yards, while wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams each had over 100 yards receiving.

Baltimore also got back to winning ways in week 2 after its week 1 loss in a shootout against Josh Allen and the Bills. The Ravens defeated the Browns 41-17 in week 2 as Lamar Jackson torched the Browns’ defense with 225 passing yards and 4 touchdowns.

Ravens vs Lions Head-to-Head Record Ahead of MNF Tonight

The Baltimore Ravens and the Detroit Lions have met only 7 times previously. The head-to-head record between the two teams is dominated by the Ravens, who currently hold a 6-1 record. In fact, Baltimore is on a 5-win streak against Detroit to date.

The last time these two teams met was on 22nd October, 2023, in a completely one-sided game in favor of the Ravens. Lamar Jackson had 357 passing yards and 3 touchdowns through the air as the Ravens won comfortably by a score of 38-6.

Since then, Detroit has been on the up, and their last game against the Bears was a dominant performance. Tonight’s game should be much closer, although Baltimore is going into the matchup as 4.5-point favorites.

As the week 3 game between the Ravens and Lions is an MNF game, it will be broadcast by ESPN, which holds the rights for Monday Night Football. Fans can also catch the game on ABC as well as on ESPN 2, which is the ManningCast simulcast with Peyton and Eli Manning.

Week 3 Monday Night Football Result Prediction

The Ravens head into this game as the better of the two teams despite their week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Baltimore’s crushing win over divisional opponents, the Cleveland Browns, and the shootout loss against Buffalo have shown more upside than the Lions’ first couple of games so far.

Although this game has the ability to be a closely contested one, with either team capable of coming out on top, we are taking the Ravens at home to take the win on MNF tonight.
