Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens Preview, Betting Odds, and Predictions – NFL 2025-26 Season Week 3 MNF

The Detroit Lions are travelling on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens for this exciting inter conference Monday Night Football. These two teams are coming into Week 3 with both teams losing their opening night contests and winning their second matchups. The Lions are currently 1-1 after losing to the Green Bay Packers in Week 1 but bouncing back with a dominant win over the Bears in Week 2.

Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens ended up losing their first game of the season against the Buffalo Bills, but managed to get a win against the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. These two teams have some of the best offenses from around the NFL, and you can expect a very high scoring game.

Analysis and Rationale

While Derrick Henry was relatively quiet in the second game against the Cleveland Browns, he exploded in Week 1 against the Bills, scoring two TDs to go along with 169 rushing yards. While the Browns’ defense were at least able to contain his ground game in Week 2, we doubt that the Lions’ weakened defense will be able to slow him down. The Lions have allowed 6 total TDs in two weeks, two rushing TDs, and rank 15th in rush defense currently. Looking at this, we believe it is safe to assume that Henry will be able to get at least one TD in the game.

Similarly for our second bet, Jahmry Gibbs is also a threat to score TD at anytime, especially since the Ravens have performed horribly on the defensive end so far. They rank 17th in rushing defense, allowing 3 rushing TDs and 111.5 rushing yards so far. In Week 1, they let the Bills explode for 41 points, with 15 points coming in the fourth quarter. Looking at this, it is safe to assume that Gibbs could score at least one TD in this game.

Lamar Jackson to exceed 28.5 passing attempts against the Lions is due to Detroit’s passing defense which has allowed 4 passing TDs so far, ranking 12th and giving up 196.5 yards on average through two games. While we do expect the ground game of Ravens to be utilized, if things do not go as planned, expect Jackson to go into all out passing mode, trying to find his receivers like Zay Flowers instead.

Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens Preview

In Week 3’s primetime showdown at M&T Bank Stadium, 1-1 Baltimore Ravens host the 1-1 Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football. Lamar Jackson has lit up the league with 434 passing yards and six TDs, with no interceptions, powering a Ravens offense averaging 40+ points per game, while Derrick Henry’s ground game adds balance.

Meanwhile the Lions rebounded with a dominant Week 2 win over the Bears showcasing Jared Goff’s efficiency and a revamped defense led by Aidan Hutchinson. Yet, they face a Ravens squad that crushed them 38-6 in their last Baltimore meeting, exploiting Detroit’s aggressive front against the run.

Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens Prediction for Week 3 MNF of the 2025-26 NFL Season

In Week 3’s Monday Night Football clash at M&T Bank Stadium, the 1-1 Ravens host the 1-1 Lions in a high-octane showdown. Lamar Jackson’s dynamic playmaking and dual threat ability to go along with Derrick Henry’s ground dominance give Baltimore the edge in their undefeated home prime-time streak. The Lions’ explosive offense, led by Jared Goff, may keep it close, but Baltimore’s revamped defense should seal a gritty victory.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
