Week 9 gave us plenty of moments to remember! From the Steelers missing out acquiring D.K. Metcalf to all the winners and losers of the NFL trade deadline, there was never a dull moment. But the conclusion of a happening week leads us to week 10 where plenty of fun match-ups are lined up.
Week 10 Thursday Night Football is set to feature a clash between two AFC North rivals, with two prime contenders for the NFL season MVP honors this year. One team plays to establish supremacy in the AFC North while the other remains focused on building a winning momentum. So, who plays Thursday Night Football tonight? Let’s find out.
Week 10 Thursday Night Football November 7 game will feature a clash between the Baltimore Ravens (6-3) and the Cincinnati Bengals (4-5). Lamar Jackson and co. are coming off a huge win (41-10) over the Denver Broncos at Week 9 Sunday Night Football. The Bengals had a good home game on week 9 SNF where they beat the Raiders (41-24).
This will be a quick turnaround for both the AFC North sides as they come back to play again in 4 days. The Ravens will host the Bengals and enjoy the home advantage. But they cannot take Joe Burrow and the Bengals lightly. Cincinnati have a poor home record this season (1-4) but they have been clinical on the road with 3 wins and 1 loss. John Harbaugh’s boys boast a 3-1 record at home this season.
The Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry duo combined with Marks Andrews, Justice Hill and Rashod Bateman can tear through any defense on their day. Though the Ravens acquired cornerback Tre’Davious White before the NFL trade deadline, he is not expected to play in the TNF game versus the Bengals. Two men in the Ravens offense, Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry, are already favorites for the NFL MVP of the year and OPTY awards.
If anyone else is mentioned in the NFL MVP of the year conversation, it is the Bengal QB Joe Burrow. Nicknamed Joe Coo, Burrow has already thrown 2,244 yards through week 9 for 20 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 70.2 percent. A major setback will come in the form of unavailability of Tee Higgins, who might not be available for the game.
But offense is not where the problem lies for the Bengals. Their defense has been sub-par this season. The Bengals defense has led them down every time they have come across a side with superior offense, including the Eagles, the Commanders and the Ravens.
