Kevin Durant and Mike Budenholzer got into another on-court argument.
Apart from their poor form, the Phoenix Suns (31-37) have once again managed to grab headlines. The eleventh-seeded Suns continued their struggles on court and suffered a 107-96 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, March 16.
However, it wasn’t the Suns’ sixth loss in the last ten games that grabbed the eyeballs. During the game, drama erupted among the Suns’ when superstar Kevin Durant engaged in a heated argument with head coach Mike Budenholzer.
During a timeout in the late first quarter, when the Suns were trailing the Lakers 25-11, Durant was visibly frustrated at Mike. He stood up and threw his hands while trying to make his point. Needless to say, the entire incident gave everyone another topic to discuss about the struggling Suns.

Suns’ on-court altercations have become more common than ever. This is the second time that Durant got into an argument with coach Mike. Earlier this month, during the 119-117 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, Budenholzer and Durant engaged in animated conversation. While both later refused any rift rumors and assured that everything is well between them, these back-to-back clearly indicate otherwise.

He said, “He’s always pushing us to win. He’s pushing us to be better. Trying to figure out the spacing. Sometimes figure out the defensive… Are we putting two on the ball? And how we’re rotating… We have to figure it out, we have to be better.”
During the game, Durant finished with 21 points, nine rebounds and two assists. He was followed by Devin Booker with 19 points, six rebounds and eleven assists. Ryan Dunn came up with 13 points, three rebounds and one assist.
