After a lot of painful years for the Washington Commanders fans, it seems like the team is finally on the come-up now. After drafting QB Jayden Daniels, the franchise went from not making the playoffs to the NFC Championship round. Head coach Dan Quinn has put Washington back on the map and with a couple more additions, they can potentially reach the Super Bowl in the upcoming years.

They had a terrific season in 2024, winning 12 games out of 17. They beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wildcard round and knocked off the number one-seeded Detroit Lions in the Divisional round of the 2024-25 playoffs. The way the Eagles played in the postseason, nobody could have beaten them in the NFL. Even though the Commanders lost to the Eagles, Jayden Daniels showed up to play but the team’s veterans did not play at the level they were supposed to.

There will be quite a lot of expectations for this young Commanders team in the 2025-26 season. We will truly see if they are here to stay or if they had somewhat of a fluke season, last year. The Nation’s Capital is finally starting to win again and we are excited to see just what the Commanders will do next. With that said, let’s look at the Commanders’ schedule for next season.

Commanders Have a Difficult Schedule Ahead

Since the Commanders finished second in the NFC East last season, they will play teams with the same standing in the NFC West, South, and AFC East. This includes teams like the Seahawks, the Dolphins, and the Falcons. The Commanders are playing the Chicago Bears for the fourth and the Atlanta Falcons for the fifth consecutive season.

The Commanders will play four teams from the NFC North and the AFC West next season. This includes opponents such as the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions.

The Commanders do not have an easy schedule as they will have to face 7 teams that were in the playoffs last season. This also includes the Philadelphia Eagles, who knocked them out of title contention.
