In 2024, Buffalo once again came very close to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1994. Facing the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason yet again, the Bills were unable to get past the former two-time defending Champions, bringing down the curtain on their tremendous season.

After trading away primary receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis in the offseason, not many thought that they would make a deep playoff run. However, other players stepped up and Josh Allen had another great year which led to him winning his first MVP.

But, all that is in the past now and Buffalo and its fans need to move ahead. If the Bills are going to get past the AFC Championship round anytime soon, they need to keep the momentum going and add some quality pieces this offseason.

As we still await the release of the 2025 NFL schedule for another few months, one thing is for sure: the Bills will have to get past quite a few quality teams once again. Let us now take a look at the opponents they will be facing this season.

Buffalo Bills 2025 Season Home Games

This year, the AFC teams will all get to play 9 home games and 8 away games, while the opposite holds true for the NFC. This happens due to the NFL’s alternate year policy in which the AFC gets 9 home games in odd years and the NFC gets 9 home games in even years.

First of all, the Bills will play their usual 3 games at home against fellow AFC East rivals, the Dolphins, Patriots, and Jets. Buffalo will then play 2 home games against 2 teams from another division of the AFC, and those teams will be the Ravens and Bengals from the AFC North. Similarly, the Bills will play 2 more home games with 2 teams from the NFC South, the Saints and the Buccaneers.

Last but not least, Buffalo, which won their division last year, will play the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, who were also winners of their respective divisions, the AFC West and the NFC East.

Buffalo Bills 2025 Season Away Games

On the road, the Bills will once again play all 3 divisional opponents, the Dolphins, Patriots, and Jets. Then, they will travel to Cleveland and Pittsburgh to take on the Browns and Steelers from the AFC North. From the NFC South, Buffalo will go up against the Falcons and Panthers with their final game being against the winners of the AFC South, the Texans.

Buffalo Bills’ Biggest Offseason Moves

The Buffalo Bills haven’t exactly made too many headline signings this season. The biggest news in Buffalo is the extension of reigning MVP Josh Allen, who signed a 6-year, $330 million contract. Additionally, the Bills also extended receiver Khalil Shakir and linebacker Terrel Bernard, as well as a mammoth four-year, $80 million extension to defensive end Greg Rousseau. Buffalo signed Joey Bosa to a one-year deal worth $12.6 million as a replacement for outgoing linebacker Von Miller. Additionally, they brought in former Charger Joshua Palmer as their new WR3.

Buffalo Bills 2025 NFL Draft Picks

Buffalo had many selections this year with 9 draft picks in all. The main focus for the Western New York-based team was improving their defense, and that is where they used 6 of their selections, including the first 5. Their first round pick was at the end of the round at 30th overall, from which they selected cornerback Maxwell Hairston. Many felt that the Bills would select a receiver at the top of the draft, but the franchise had other plans, wanting to improve the defense instead.
