Warriors vs Suns Injury Report: Will Stephen Curry play tonight against Phoenix Suns?

After recording a 116-109 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors will be back in action as they host the Phoenix Suns on Friday, Jan. 31.

The Suns, on the flip side, slumped to the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-113 which ended their three-match win streak. They are sitting ninth on the Western Conference standings with a 24-22 record.

Warriors’ star guard Stephen Curry, who missed the showdown against the Jazz with knee soreness, returned to the court and contributed with 21 points, a rebound and four assists against Thunder. He will be expected to come with the same kind of performance and help the side edge past the Suns.

The Dubs are doing better in terms of their injuries, but while almost all their players have been declared fit, two key names, Draymond Green and Jonthan Kuminga are still out of the lineup.

Suns, on the other hand, have no players listed on the injury report as of yet for tonight’s game.

Warriors’ Injury Report

Draymond Green: Out (Calf)
Jonathan Kuminga: Out (Ankle)

Green sustained left calf strain during the game against the Washington Wizards, and according to a statement released by the team earlier on Monday, he will miss his seventh game straight as the Warriors host the Suns.

However, the veteran is expected to participate in practice sessions in coming days and his status will be considered day-to-day once he begins full practice. Notably, Green has played 34 games for the team so far this season, where he averages at 8.4 points, 6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.

On the other hand, Jonathan Kuminga sustained a sprain on his right ankle during a game against the Grizzlies on Jan. 4 and has been out of action since then.

According to updates, he has been doing well in rehabilitation but is likely to be out of action for some time more. Kuminga could be expected to miss a few upcoming games and has the quickest possibility of making a comeback during the game against the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 12.
