The Utah Jazz comes into this game a four-point Overtime loss against the LA Clippers despite a 20-points, 10-rebounds performance by Kyle Flipowski. It was their fourth loss in five games and they are 3-13 since mid-January. The Jazz are #1 in turnovers with 17.6 TOPG for the season while allowing 119.4 points per game(4th worst). The Jazz’s management won’t mind these performances as they are aiming for a high pick in the 2025 Draft.

The Houston Rockets enter the game after playing against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the previous night,. Before that, they suffered a 7-point loss against the Golden State Warriors before the All-Star Break. They have lost seven out of their last nine games(minus the Wolves tilt) and desperately needed a week’s break. During the period, they scored just 106.9 PPG(6th worst) compared to their season average of 112.7 PPG. However, they continued to be an impressive rebounding squad, clasping 15.8 Offensive rebounds per game(1st) in the period.

The Jazz have been a terrible defensive squad but the Rockets will enter after playing on the previous night which can curb their offensive capacities. On the defensive end, the Rockets will be affected but they have still managed to do well on that end. At any rate, I expect the total to hover around the 220-223 points mark. I feel a bit uncomfortable placing a bet on the Rockets’ total going over 117 points as the bookmakers are suggesting. However, I am comfortable putting a stake in Jazz going under the expected total.

Houston Rockets Player Props Predictions – Projected Top Bets & Odds

Alperen Sengun to nab at least 12 rebounds: The Rockets center has tallied 10.5 RPG for the season. He can have a ton of offensive rebounds and can even get up to 15 rebounds here.

Dillon Brooks can be held under 12 points: Brooks is putting up 13.6 PPG this season but may likely not get past 11 points here.

The Rockets are entering a back-to-back situation here but will hold the edge over an undermanned Jazz team. The Rockets have a stronger backcourt but the Jazz’s frontline has done well lately. Overall, I favor the Rockets by at least 10 points here considering they pulled off a 5-point win against the Timberwolves and will be revved up to prove a point against a struggling squad.
