UEFA Champions League quarter-final is knocking on the door. Teams and fans are gearing up for the clashes that are set to begin in less than a week. The teams left at this stage are – Aston Villa, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and PSG.

The way to the top-eight has not been easy. Big teams, like Liverpool who ended the group stage at the top of the table were knocked out. Real Madrid knocked out Atletico Madrid in two thrilling Round of 16 clashes. Their progression needed to be decided on penalties. Another match that was decided on penalties was between Liverpool and PSG.

Arsenal thrashed PSV over the two legs to score a whopping nine goals. Aston Villa scored six and Bayern Munich netted five to knock out Club Brugge and Bayer Leverkusen respectively. Barcelona and Inter both progressed with a 4-1 score margin from two legs to eliminate Benfica and Feyenoord respectively.

The affair between Dortmund and Lille was close to be decided on 2-3 in favour of Dortmund. In the quarter-finals Bundesliga league leaders Bayern will face Italian league leaders Inter. Arsenal will face Real Madrid, Aston Villa will face Ligue 1 toppers PSG, and La Liga leaders Barcelona will take on Dortmund.
