WWE SummerSlam 2025 welcomed an unexpected guest from the NBA world: Tyrese Haliburton. He was present at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to watch the Summer’s biggest wrestling event.

The Indiana Pacers guard also had a role to play in the main event of the night between John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Haliburton, still recovering from a recent Achilles injury, arrived at the arena on crutches. He recently went through a successful surgery.

The Street Fight between Cena and Rhodes turned intense as weapons came into brutal play. John Cena in a bid to further hurt The American Night was searching for something strong and metallic.

He went down to the audience area, where he saw a familiar face: Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers guard stood with a smile as Cena was staring at him. The 17 time WWE champion then waved his signature ‘you can’t see me’ at Hali.

On the other end, the New Jersey audience in the MetLife arena was booing Tyrese Haliburton. It was the Pacers that knocked the Knicks in this year’s Conference Finals.

Injured Haliburton Gets Surprise WWE Cameo

The interaction between the duo didn’t end here, as John Cena quickly picked up one of Haliburton’s crutches. He then slammed it on to Cody Rhodes who fell in a gist. Cena hurled the crutch back outside.

This is not the first time that Tyrese Haliburton has had a WWE crossover. Just before the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks, Haliburton and Jalen Brunson came face-to-face at a Smackdown episode.

Tyrese Haliburton was at Logan Paul’s side and Jalen Brunson was on the LA Knight’s. The NBA duo also came face-to-face on the ringside. A few words were exchanged ringside.

Haliburton eventually had the last laugh on the NBA court as his side knocked out the New York Knicks in the Conference Finals by 4-2. Unfortunately, Haliburton suffered a major injury during the NBA Finals series and will miss the upcoming season.
