Pop-Rock Duo to Perform During Break at Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series in March 2025
The Columbus Blue Jackets are set to go up against the Detroit Red Wings in the 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series at the famous Ohio Stadium (home of the Ohio State Buckeyes) on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
The pop-rock duo Twenty-One Pilots will take the stage during the break at the 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series in March 2025. It will be shown live at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN. Segments of their performance will be included in the game broadcast.
Lead singer Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun were born and grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where Joseph studied at Ohio State University. To celebrate the pair’s return to their hometown, OSU will offer students the chance to buy tickets at a special price of $20.99 through Ohio State Account Manager, where they can enter their .edu email address. The general public can obtain tickets directly from the NHL. Supporters can also obtain tickets through secondary ticket platforms such as Ticket Club.
Since the club entered the NHL in 2000, the Blue Jackets have faced the Red Wings more times than any other team. The previous Central Division rivals have faced off 111 times in the regular season, with Columbus holding a record of 46-51-14, which includes 26-23-8 at home.
As of March 28, 2012, the Blue Jackets have a record of 28-12-3 against the Red Wings, with a 15-7-1 record at home. The teams faced each other in the Western Conference Quarterfinals of the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The 2025 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series™ will mark the Blue Jackets’ first regular-season outdoor game, while for the Red Wings, it will be their fifth, as they hold a record of 2-0-2 in their past four outings.
It also signifies the third major league event organized by the Blue Jackets and the city of Columbus. The team held the 2007 NHL Draft at Nationwide Arena on June 22-23, 2007, and the 2015 NHL All-Star Weekend from January 22-25, 2015.
