Knecht 'connected' nine 3-pointers in Lakers' win over Jazz on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Lakers cruised to their sixth straight win after a 124-118 win over Utah Jazz on Tuesday. 20-year-old rookie Dalton Knecht had a red-hot shooting night at the Crypto.com Arena, scoring a career-high 37 points, including a staggering nine 3-pointers on 12 attempts in the game.
With his stunning 3P shooting spree, Knecht tied the NBA single-game rookie record. The No. 17 overall pick in June’s NBA Draft totaled 22 straight points for the Lakers in the third quarter, including 6 three-pointers.
His last 3-pointer off a pass from LeBron James, brought the crowd to its feet and secured his place in NBA history.

Notably, Knecht is only the fourth NBA rookie to hit nine three-pointers in a game.
Former Dallas Mavericks guard Rodrigue Beaubois was the first NBA rookie to sink nine 3-pointers in a game. He set the record against the Golden State Warriors on March 27, 2010.

Utah Jazz’s guard Keyonte George matched the record with nine 3-pointers against the Warriors in February last season.
