“This Team F**king Sucks” – Fans Roast USMNT After Canada Defeat in UEFA Nations League

The USMNT now finds itself at the center of backlash following these two disappointing performances in the CONCACAF Nations League.

The United States fell to a 2-1 defeat against Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League third-place playoff on Sunday evening. Despite a brief spark of promise, the Americans once again looked out of sync and failed to rise to the occasion. The loss followed a 1-0 semi-final defeat to Panama just three days earlier, marking a disappointing end to a tournament the U.S. had previously dominated, having won each of the first three editions.

Canada had opened the scoring in the first half with a goal from Tani Oluwaseyi but the U.S. responded shortly after through Patrick Agyemang. Jonathan David netted the decisive goal of the match as the Lille striker placed his shot calmly into the bottom left corner in the 59th minute.

After a promising start under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino, with four straight wins, the United States Men’s National Team now finds itself at a critical juncture just 15 months before it co-hosts the 2026 FIFA World Cup alongside Canada and Mexico. These two back-to-back defeats have raised concerns about the team’s form and preparedness ahead of the biggest football event on home soil.

As a result, The USMNT now finds itself at the center of backlash following these two disappointing performances. Frustrated fans took to social media to voice their anger, with one viral post reading, “Good thing US is hosting the next World Cup because this USMNT wouldn’t have qualified.” The sentiment was the same among all the fans as questions mounted over USMNT’s disappointing performance.
