‘That’s Insane’ – Victor Wembanyama’s 3-point stat leaves NBA fans astonished

The conventional wisdom, backed by statistics and data, has long suggested that NBA players typically reach their peak performance in their late 20s or early 30s. However, this is not the case for San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama, who is putting up top performances game after game, making a case for the league MVP.

In a dominating 114–94 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, the 20-year-old added yet another chapter to his growing legend.

The 7-foot-4 center hit four three-pointers, bringing his career total to 201 three-pointers in just 94 games.

To put that into perspective: Wembanyama reached 200 three-pointers faster than some of the NBA’s greatest shooters. He surpassed the records of Stephen Curry, James Harden, and Hall of Famer Ray Allen – three of the top players on the all-time three-point shooting list.

Wembanyama, who averaged 1.8 three-pointers per game last season, is now knocking down 3.1 per game in 2025.

In addition to his shooting, Wembanyama also had 10 blocks in the game. He finished with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, while teammates Keldon Johnson, Devin Vassell, and Jeremy Sochan combined for 32 points to help the Spurs win their second straight game.

With the win, the Spurs improve to 15-13 on the season. They will next travel to Philadelphia to face the 76ers on Wednesday.
