Can the Panthers even the series in game 2?
With game 1 of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final all done and dusted, the Edmonton Oilers have struck first, taking the series lead 1-0. However, there is still plenty to play for as both teams regroup ahead of the all-important game 2.

Game 2 of the series continues at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, at 8:00 PM ET, where the Oilers will look to extend their lead, while the Panthers will be out to even the score before the action shifts to Sunrise, Florida.
Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final was a tight and closely fought affair, with both teams having their chances. The Oilers got good production from their stars, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, but their depth players will have to step up more as the series progresses. The Oilers will continue to have home ice advantage in the second game as well, and that could play a major part once again. Moreover, Edmonton has learned from its mistakes from last year’s Final, and that experience will help them as it did in Game 1.

According to the moneyline for Game 2, the Oilers are once the favorites, but this time the gap has increased slightly. McDavid and Draisaitl will be the main reasons Edmonton is the favorite, being the best two players in the game currently, but also the Oilers’ better depth play and home advantage are key points.
