For most of the season, the Oklahoma City Thunder made it to the headlines with their splendid form and formidable campaign. Earlier known as the Seattle Supersonics, the Thunder displayed sheer dominance on the court, and finished with the NBA best record this season. The franchise had a historic season, where they registered 68 wins, and 14 losses to grab the top spot in the standings.

While the majority of their wins have been a result of team effort, one name that shone throughout the season was their superstar point guard- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Gilgeous-Alexander was on the top of their scoring sheet for almost all games and he finished the season as the leading scorer with an average of 32.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. The 26-year-old recorded an offensive rating of 122.4 and defensive rating of 105.7, as his team was 63-13 with him in the lineup.

SGA has had a +/- of 12.1 as well as a Player Efficiency Rating of 30.7, and has been a frontrunner for the NBA MVP 2025. Not only this, but he also made it to the list of the finalists for the NBA honor and is most likely to bag the title.

The Ontario-born made his debut with the LA Clippers after he was traded by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2018 NBA Draft after picking him as the 11th overall. After being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in his sophomore season, SGA’s career has always been on a rise. While he has always managed to turn heads with his performance in regular seasons, let’s see how the Canadian star has fared in playoffs in his career.
