NBA Playoffs 2025 Witness Historic Game 1 Feat Unlocked at the Conference Semi-Finals

A record was created as the Warriors took down the Timberwolves in Game 1 of their playoffs series.

Another staggering record was added in NBA’s history books as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in their Game 1 of the Conference Semifinals Series on Tuesday, May 7. The game that took place at the Target Center in Minnesota saw the Dubs taking down their No. 6 counterparts 99-88 to register an early lead in the series. 

With the win, a unique record was created in the league. It was for the first time that all four away teams won the first game of their semifinal series. The NBA Playoffs 2025 Conference Semifinals began with the Indiana Pacers pulling off an upset over the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers 121-112 at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland. 

A day later, the New York Knicks humbled the reigning champions, Boston Celtics with an overtime 108-105 loss at TD Garden. Action then moved to Paycom Center in Oklahoma, where the fourth-seeded Denver Nuggets pulled off a 121-119 upset over the threatening Thunder. The feat was completed on Tuesday by the seven-time champions, Golden State Warriors.

What Lies Ahead in the NBA Playoffs 2025 Conference Semi-Finals? 

In the ongoing NBA Playoffs 2025 conference semifinals, the Indiana Pacers extended their winning streak. They recorded a narrow 120-119 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of their series. They now lead the series 2-0, and the Cavs eye a comeback as action moves to Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indiana for Game 3 and Game 4 Friday, May 9 and Sunday, May 11, respectively.

Apart from them, the Celtics will be up against the Knicks, while the Thunder will meet the Nuggets in their respective second games of the series on Wednesday, May 7. The Timberwolves will lock horns with the Warriors in their Game 2 on Thursday, May 8.
