The Dallas Wings will host the Seattle Storm for their second straight home game in the WNBA 2025 season. The Wings who are coming off a challenging season put up a gritty performance in their season opener against Minnesota Lynx.

Wings are breathing fresh after drafting Paige Bueckers as their number 1 pick. The limelight was on the NCAA Champion and she started off slow. She went on to score 10 points in 30 minutes of action. The Dallas Wings opened strong with an early lead after the first quarter, feeding off home-crowd energy and rookie hype.

They held close to the scoreline until the Minnesota Lynx took over from the second half. The Lynx’s experience was on full display as the lead kept moving swiftly, eventually knocking out Dallas Wings out of the fourth quarter. The Wings lost the season opener by 84-99.

The Seattle Storm also had a poor start to their WNBA 2025 season. They lost their match against Phoenix Mercury on Saturday by 59-81. Both ends of the floor struggled for Seattle, as they lacked momentum on offense and couldn’t contain Phoenix defensively. Skylar Diggins was the top scorer for the Seattle Storm scoring 21 points.
